Transport Services

Transport Services are responsible for the management of vehicle and plant used by East Ayrshire Council. This includes:

Understanding services’ requirements and sourcing the appropriate vehicles via acquisition or long/short term lease/hire. 

The Transport Services Unit based in Crookedholm is a purpose designed area for the maintenance and repair of vehicles covering pre-delivery inspections, service inspections, MOT’s and ultimately the disposal of vehicles.

Booking of hired vehicles for East Ayrshire Council services.

A Fleet Support team assists the delivery of all Fleet functions and includes a Service Reception to cater for internal and external customers

Transport Services are responsible for inspection of all licensed taxis and private hire vehicles within East Ayrshire and operate a DVSA Authorised MOT Testing Station
