South Ayrshire Council (Various Roads, Pinwherry) (20mph & 30mph Speed Limit) (Amendments & Revocations) Order 2022

(Ayrshire Roads Alliance) A Partnership between East Ayrshire Council and South Ayrshire Council as partner Local Authorities for the Ayrshire Local Plan District, advise The Order which comes into force on Thursday 5 May 2022 was advertised in the Carrick Gazette Post on 12 August 2020 and the effect of the Order is as stated in said notice that being to implement new speed limits on the following lengths of road:

20mph Speed Limit


A714 Main Street: From 10 metres south of Barrhill Road at Pinwherry Bridge, north-westwards for 350 metres. A714 Barrhill Road: From Main Street, south-westwards for 200 metres.


30mph Speed Limit


A714 Main Street: From 340 metres northwest of Barrhill Road at Pinwherry Bridge, north-westwards for 133 metres. A714 Main Street: From 137 metres south of Barrhill Road at Pinwherry Bridge, south-eastwards for 101 metres.

A714 Barrhill Road: From 200 metres southwest of Main Street, southwards for 200 metres.


Another existing 20mph speed limit on the U52: From 10 metres south of Barrhill Road at Pinwherry Bridge, south-eastwards for 127 metres; has been incorporated into this Order for ease of reference with no change made to these existing restriction.
