Kilmaurs Community Action Plan

The Kilmaurs Community Action Plan 2021 to 2026 highlighted under Theme 2 - Transport and Accessibility "More/safer road crossings" and "Better traffic management" as priority areas to be considered by the Ayrshire Roads Alliance and the Kilamaurs Community Council.

Therefore, a consultant was commisioned to look at these challenges and propose a range of measures. These measures have been presented to the community, and we are now reviewing the proposals in light of the extensive feedback received.

The Kilmaurs Village Centre Report

The Kilmaurs Village Centre Report details the fesibility study and concept design proposed to address accessibility challenges for pedestrians and difficult turning manoeveres for large vehichles within the village centre, by addressing 4 main aims: 

  • Pedestrian facilities 
  • Access and movement 
  • Road Safety 
  • Traffic Management
