iDrive: Empowering drivers of all ages

About the event

This free Ayrshire Roads Alliance and North Ayrshire Council event is open to all drivers across Ayrshire and is designed to educate, engage, and empower road users of every age and experience level.

What’s on:

Expert presentations
Hear from leading voices in road safety, including Michael McDonnell, Director of Road Safety Scotland, and Allan Mauchline, RoSPA Regional Co-ordinator for Scotland and Ireland. Topics will cover a range of essential safety issues relevant to today’s drivers.

Interactive activities
Take part in engaging road safety challenges, including:

 - Online mock Highway Code test

 - Hazard perception test

 - Brake reaction testing

Outdoor demonstrations

 - HGV blind spot awareness zones

 - Fire & Rescue cutting equipment in action

 - Safety Camera and Road Policing vehicles

 - New car models from local dealerships

Question time panel
Wrap up the day with an open panel session where attendees can ask questions directly to the experts.
