Please note that the decision to provide, or not to provide, an H-bar marking is at the discretion of the Roads Authority. It may not always be possible to create such a facility in certain locations due to the existing road layout or other road safety issues. The markings are advisory and are not punishable by fixed penalty. Police Scotland have powers to deal with vehicles preventing a vehicle exiting a driveway.
The council reserves the right to remove the marking in this situation without refund.
Residents or their visitors, should not park on the marking as this can undermine its effectiveness and lead to general abuse of the marking.
