On Street Parking
There are on street designated pay by plate parking bays located within Ayr and pay and display bays in Kilmarnock town centres indicated by appropriate lines and signs.
Charges apply all year round with the exception of Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
Payment can be made on street by card, or the insertion of coins at associated pay by plate or pay and display ticket machines.

South Ayrshire Pay by Plate parking
Two hours free on-street parking has been introduced in Ayr Town Centre. The changes mean that anyone can enjoy one free stay of up to two hours each day and pay absolutely nothing.
The free parking applies to the following streets, but does not include car parks
