Pay for a Penalty Charge Notice
Parking tickets (Penalty Charge Notices) issued by East Ayrshire Council and South Ayrshire Council under the Road Traffic Act 1991 (as amended) are now processed by Ayrshire Roads Alliance.
If you have received a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) you can either pay it or appeal it.
Payments must be made before the end of the period of 28 days beginning with the Date of Notice (see the PCN).
If the penalty charge is paid before the end of the period of 14 days beginning with the Date of Notice, the penalty amount will be reduced by 50%.
Cost
Parking Attendants will issue PCNs which are set at £60.
The Penalty Charge is reduced by 50% to £30 if paid within 14 days of the date of notice.
If a PCN remains unpaid it may be increased by 50% to £90.
If the Penalty Charge remains unpaid the Charge Certificate may be passed to debt recovery agents for collection.

Online payments can be made using Visa, Visa Electron, Mastercard, Maestro, Switch or Delta.
In Person
Cash or card payments can be made using the barcode printed on the PCN at any PayPoint terminal.

By Post
Cheques/postal orders should be made payable to East Ayrshire Council for both East Ayrshire Council and South Ayrshire Council PCNs
Please ensure the PCN number is written on the reverse of the cheque/postal order and returned to:

Receipts will only be issued if you send a stamped addressed envelope for this purpose.
Please do not send cash by post.
Appeal a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN)
If you wish to challenge a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) you must do so in writing to the Ayrshire Roads Alliance Parking Service within 28 days beginning with the Date of Notice.
If your appeal is received before the end of the period of 14 days beginning with the Date of Notice, consideration will be given to resetting the discount period.
If the penalty charge is not paid before the end of the period of 28 days beginning with the Date of Notice, a Notice to Owner (NtO) may be served on the person appearing to be the owner of the vehicle. If you have received an NtO, contained within it are details of how you may make formal representations based on specified grounds. Representations should be sent to the address given below.
