Where to park

There is a wide choice of parking available in East and South Ayrshire that allows motorcycles, cars, vans, coaches and lorries to be parked for short or long stay periods. You can park on-street or in an off-street car park. Wherever you park your vehicle it must not be left in a position where it does not present a danger to others or obstructs access to driveways or blocks a footway.

Parking Enforcement

Parking Attendants issue Penalty Charge Notices (fines) to those who do not comply with on-street and off-street parking regulations.

On-street parking Information

Signs and lines on-street indicate where parking is permitted or prohibited on roads. In town centres some parking is restricted to short time periods. This allows for more people to park in the town centre throughout the day.

Off-street parking (Car Parks)

Car parks permit longer periods of stay than some on-street parking restrictions. Car parks in town centres are provided by both the Ayrshire Roads Alliance and private sector operators.
