Roadworks A735 Dunlop
Mon, 06 Oct 2014
As part of the Ayrshire Roads Alliance’s structural maintenance programme, essential carriageway resurfacing works will take place on the A735 at Dunlop from Saturday 11 October to Sunday 19 October.
The £140,000 works will take place from Dunlop northwards to the railway bridge at Auldton.
Due to the limited carriageway widths it will be necessary to close the carriageway for the duration of the works, to all but residents and emergency vehicles, to ensure the safety of both the travelling public and the workforce.
A signed diversion route will be in place between Lugton, A736, and B778, Stewarton, rejoining the A735. All businesses between Dunlop and Lugton will be open as normal and accessible via the signed diversion route.
It is anticipated that there will be major delays in the vicinity of the roadworks and the Ayrshire Roads Alliance apologises for any inconvenience caused. These are essential works and will improve the quality of travel for all road users.
