Flood Risk Management Strategies and Local Flood Risk Management Plans

(Ayrshire Roads Alliance) A Partnership between East Ayrshire Council and South Ayrshire Council as partner Local Authorities for the Ayrshire Local Plan District, as identified under the Flood Risk Management (Scotland) Act 2009 hereby advise that information contributing to the delivery of the Flood Risk Management (Scotland) Act 2009 will be available for review from Monday 2nd March 2015.

Scotland has been separated into 14 Local Plan Districts, which are based on river catchments. For each Local Plan District a Flood Risk Management Strategy will be published by the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) in December 2015.  A Local Flood Risk Management Plan will also be published by each Lead Local Authority in June 2016. Phase one of the consultation, began in December 2014 and included a summary of the main sources and impacts of flooding in the Local Plan Districts.

The phase two consultation which allows the public to comment on the plans including the objectives and actions will open on Monday 2nd March 2015 and will close on Tuesday 2nd June 2015.  If you want to have your say visit https://frm-scotland.org.uk/
